Left: Ancient
and modern take-aways. A half gallon stone jar from G.S. Constable
& Sons, the 19th and 20th century Arundel brewer, dwarfs
the modern brewery's 500ml bottles. Nowadays, customers can
buy
draught beer in
minipins or polypins (see below) or bottled beer in shrink-wrapped
packs of 12 directly from the brewery. Photograph by David

If
you are planning a party or other special celebration, you will
be pleased to hear that you can buy
our draught or bottled beer straight from the brewery door – and
we think that our good value prices will impress you, too.
- Draught
beer can be supplied 'bright' or 'live' in either
minipins (17 pints) or polypins (32 pints). Bright beer is
clear and ready to drink, but should be consumed within 48
hours. Live beer includes a yeast sediment which requires 24
hours to settle, but the beer will then remain in good condition
for 5-7 days (less in hot weather).
- Bottled
beer is supplied in shrink-wrapped packs containing
12 x 500ml bottles.
With
draught beer, the choice depends on what is in our cool store at
the time. We will usually be able to offer you something from our
core brands, plus the occasional seasonal brew – if the stock
hasn't all been snapped up by the trade! If you would like something
in particular, please give us a ring beforehand to avoid disappointment.
Remember that demand is always highest around Christmas and the
New Year, and during July and August when the county is visited
by large numbers of holidaymakers and day trippers.
With
bottled beer, we can usually supply anything from our bottled
range, but again it is wise to check beforehand, especially at
busy times of the year.

that our Index and Contact pages include
