Beers – Core Brands

Our core brands, which are available throughout the year, are listed in the table below. The recipes for several of these beers have been refined in recent years in response to customer feedback. Click on any badge for a larger image in high resolution (400 dots per inch– see footnote).

Sussex Mild	3.7%	Dark Mild		A traditionally brewed, dark and creamy mild. Its low gravity and low hop rate give a slightly sweeter character.
Castle	3.8%	Standard Bitter		A tawny coloured beer with a hoppy aroma. The flavour has a good balance of malt, fruit and hops with a dry hoppy finish.
Sussex Gold	4.2%	Golden Ale		A rich golden beer with a hoppy, citrus finish. Very smooth, light and refreshing.
ASB (Arundel Special Bitter)	4.5%	Best Bitter		A special bitter with a complex roast malt flavour leading to a fruity, hoppy, bitter-sweet finish.
Stronghold	4.7%	Premium Bitter		A very smooth, full-flavoured premium bitter. An excellent balance of malt, fruit and hops comes through in this rich, chestnut-coloured beer.
Old Knucker	5.5%	Dark Old Ale		A very dark old ale. Malt dominates the initial taste, but leads on to a bitter-sweet coffee finish.
